ABOUT

We’re a caring team made up of humans and furry creatures that love the outdoors, cuddles, treats, and 6am zoomies around the house.

(The furry creatures, definitely not the humans!)

HELLO LOVELY PET OWNER!

I'm Caroline

Professional Poop Picker Upper

As my job title states I am a professional poop picker upper, I am also the founder of Rebarkable Dog Activity Adventures and The Pet Sitter Solihull.

During the summer of 2021 when Covid restrictions lifted slightly, Paul and I decided that a summer break with the family would be a good way to recharge the batteries. Having worked for a charity supporting the elderly, 2021 had been a particularly busy and tiring year.

With 2 guinea pigs and 3 cats we needed someone who could deal with all their different quirks and challenges. After much searching we both came to the decision that separate holidays were the only way forward. So that year I went away with my children, and then Paul went away with his. Fine for one year, but not an ideal solution for future family holidays.

It was on my return back to work after the holiday, that I realised I could combine my caring qualities from work with my love of animals.

The Pet Sitter Solihull was founded to provide a premier cat feeding service and overnight home & pet sitting for Solihull’s pets.

With a love for the outdoors I decided to add dog walking to my services. However, I'd never walked a dog, owned a dog, or wanted to have a dog so I had to go on a very fast and steep learning curve into the world of dogs.

What I learnt on this journey was the importance of play, and adding enrichment. With this knowledge Rebarkable Dog Activity Adventures was created giving dogs an experience like no other.

The Mission Rebarkable Formula brings every activity to life, with every dog the star of the show.

Paul

The Accountant and Adventure Leader

Paul has a love for numbers, pets and football (he is an Arsenal fan).

When he is not running around playing games with dogs you can find him running around the tennis court chasing tennis balls.

He has a mean serve which makes him the perfect adventure leader when ball throwing is required.

Tom

Playlist Organiser and Adventure Leader

Although Tom spends most of his time away at university he can be spotted on an adventure or two during his holidays.

Tom is a fan of heavy metal music, football, playing the guitar.

When Tom is in the van you can be sure that your dogs will be listening to his playlist!

Jules

The Holiday Dog Mummy

When you go on holiday and you need your dog to have a holiday too, Jules is here to care for all their needs.

Jules and her husband, Dan, are experienced with a variety of dogs and love hosting dogs for their holidays. When not looking after dogs, Jules loves to travel and has many countries stamped on her passport.

Since joining Caroline's Rebarkable Activity Adventures Monty has come on leaps and bounds. He is quite a nervous dog. He is so excited to see Caroline and his doggie friends and we've all noticed he's generally much more enthusiastic on his walks with us too.

Rebarkable Activity Adventures

Jules made sure she knew Daisy’s routine, and was happy to accommodate her crate and other needs, so that our dog would have some home comforts whilst we were away.  We were also keen to know that Daisy would get the same level of exercise and enrichment, and our mind was put at rest with that as we had regular photos of Daisy’s adventures. She had a great time.

Overnight Dog Boarding

Benji loves the interaction with other dogs, he uses his brain power and I love how the adventures get him engaged in activities. He sleeps so well after the adventures too.’

Some fun facts about me...

My first business was a natural skin care and aromatherapy business. One of my skin care products even won a ‘Beauty Shortlist Award’. The business was more of an expensive hobby than a sustainable business so eventually I had to close it.

I live with three cats - Ivy, Ivar and Ivan. It gets very confusing!

My degree was in Hospitality Management and I wanted to become a hotel manager. I quickly realised that the hours were very unsociable (for a 21 year old) and ended up in finance.

I was once a blogger for a gardening company as their 'novice gardener'. They would send me plants that I would grow on and then blog about them.

Bridges are my biggest fear. I can't drive over them without having a panic attack.

My favourite quote is

“What if I fall? Oh, but my darling, what if you fly?” ― Erin Hanson.
